Artist Statement of Sara Ingleby-MacKenzie

Sara Ingleby-MacKenzie`s Personal statement
"My work is influenced by love, life and fashion.
The way we present ourselves to the world is a subtle dialogue based on our experiences, desires and insecurities.
Sun glasses are important to my work they convey summer and holidays whilst they also act as a screen behind which we can hide.
Modigliani once said he would paint the eyes once he understood the soul.
Humour is an important tool for me it can relax the viewer and make them add their own narrative to the pieces.
